Aquaculture in wind farms and Restoration of Marine Space
The call invites Regional and Local Authorities to submit proposals for funding to promote knowledge transfer, enhance regional capacity, and foster knowledge exchange on Low Trophic Aquaculture (LTA) and its integration with offshore renewable energy. Three Associate Region (AR) projects will be funded, focusing on:
Identifying LTA potential in the applicant's region.
Developing or improving plans for LTA implementation.
Building awareness and capacity for integrating LTA with offshore renewables.
Type of projects to be funded
Projects should focus on the implementation of LTA farms within offshore wind developments to assess environmental and economic feasibility. Activities must include co-design and co-development efforts in collaboration with project partners, ensuring the adoption and transfer of innovative solutions to new regions.
Sectors / domain
Low trophic aquaculture integrated with offshore wind energy.
Individual or consortium
Proposals can be submitted by regional or local authorities.
Applications may include consortium efforts or subcontracting.
Specific eligibility requirements
Eligible applicants: Local and regional authorities from EU Member States and Horizon Europe Associated Countries.
Ineligible countries (already represented by project partners):
Belgium, Denmark, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden.
Entities that received FSTP funding from OLAMUR or the first AR Call of this project are not eligible.
