Selected startups, SMEs, and research organizations will receive a grant of up to €100,000 per project, non-diluting, meaning it does not require giving up equity. This funding supports the development, integration, and validation of innovative XR teleconference solutions. The focus areas include enhancing the functionalities of the XR platform, creating new modules, and assessing the social impacts of XR technology.

Beneficiaries will also receive technical and business support through tailored workshops and mentorship programs, aiding in the growth and scalability of their solutions. Regular evaluations will ensure that projects meet predefined objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs), such as improved user engagement and successful feature integration. Tailored services will support the delivery and expansion of pilot activities, including technical guidance and user feedback integration.

Funds are disbursed in three lump sums based on the delivery of project reports and evaluations: 40% after contract signature and delivery of the detailed project implementation report, 40% after the intermediate report at month 3, and 20% after the final report at month 9. All activities must comply with relevant data protection and ethical guidelines, particularly GDPR, to ensure privacy and security.

Projects must address one of the following areas: industrial maintenance, remote technical training, business meetings with XR, or extended reality innovations in various sectors. Each solution must utilize the CORTEX2 platform, be rigorously tested and evaluated, and include a detailed project proposal outlining how it will meet the objectives and requirements of the selected challenge area.
